What is Virtual Hosting?


Virtual Hosting allows us to host multiple domains on one server. This cuts down on overhead which allows us to host your web pages for a low cost. To see what it would cost to get your own server check out our Cost-Effective page. With Virtual Hosting, when someone on the net visits your web page, they won't be able to tell its not on its own server.

Does WebHostPage offer dial-up Internet access?


WebHostPage does not offer dialup Internet access.  We try to focus our service and support on our virtual hosting clients.

 


 

Can I upgrade from Plan A to Plan B?


No problem. Just contact sales@WebHostPage.com and let them know you would like to upgrade from plan A to plan B. A new setup fee of $15 will apply when upgrading/downgrading your account.

How do I transfer files to my web site?


Files must be transferred to the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP). If you have a PPP internet account and need FTP software, you can download it for either the PC or Mac from http://www.tucows.com.  If you have WS-FTP, and want to know how to use it, try our ONLINE TUTORIAL

Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?


You have unlimited access via FTP 24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.

Can I use my account for commercial purposes?


Yes, you can use your account for commercial purposes. The World Wide Web has become a most efficient and cost-effective means of making information available to the users of the internet community.

Can I resell space within my own account?


Yes. You can resell space within your account. However, you will be responsible for its content and data transfer. It will not be possible to acquire multiple account passwords for FTP access.

Do you accept international orders?


Yes. If you would like, we can host non-US domain name extensions. Like .se, .co.uk etc. If you can point the domain to us, we can host it.

What kind of technical support do you offer?


We encourage our customers to send email to support@WebHostPage.com with questions or concerns about their web site. We are relatively quick to respond to support email. We also provide an interactive mailing list and web-based bulletin board for customers wishing to exchange ideas, post web related questions, or assist others.

How long does it take to set up a new account?


Orders submitted before 5pm MST which include payment information will usually be processed the same day! Once an account is set up an activation notice will be sent you via email including a userid, password, and FTP hostname. You can begin uploading files to your new web site immediately. Domain account users will be given a temporary URL to access their site via the web prior to the completion of either domain registration or transfer.

How do I place an order?


You can use our Online Orderform to request a Virtual domain account directly from our web site 24 hours a day.

Can multiple domains point to the same HTML files?


Yes. That is what we refer to as domain aliasing. There is a one time setup fee of $5 for each additional domain, and a monthly fee of $10.


How do I modify my domain to work with WebHostPage?


To transfer your domain to our servers, first you need an account with us.  To get an account, please go to http://secure.WebHostPage.com:8443/order and sign up there for an account.  After your account has been setup, you will need to modify your domain to point to our servers.  To do this, go to http://networksolutions.com and change the following information to:
